We had to find an itinerary which pleases both of
us, what had been quite easy. We wanted to limit the number of
countries, because one year around the world
doesn't mean race around the world. We decided to
restrict our trip to Asia, Oceania and South
America (which is already a lot).
Our choice was as well
determined by the airplane tickets. Willing to
travel around the world is one thing, but then
you need to find a way to travel. And we
didn’t choose to cycle... unfortunately for
Sebastien !
In order to visit different
countries on several continents, the easiest and
more economic is to buy a « round the world »
plane ticket.
We finally found what we were
looking for with the alliance of airlines «
oneworld » and prepared our itinerary the way we
wanted, according ourselves a few extras !!

An itinerary is chosen as well according to the
politic and seasonal climate. Concerning politics,
we chose countries which are supposed to be «
peaceful », nevertheless zero risk doesn't exist.
As far as the weather is
concerned, when you go on a round the world trip,
it's not possible to get in all the countries at
the right season. You then need to follow the
rules of « Pacha Mama » and try to avoid the «
worst » periods for each continents, that is to
say big heats or freezing colds.

Of course, we don't follow
these excellent advices we gave you, and we are
going to India during the scortching heat and in
South East Asia during the monsoon... But
Patagonia will be covered in summer when the
freezing wind from the South gets a little bit
out of breath... We told you, anyone can't get
everything !!
